The last week has heralded some big new announcements for folks who hunger for the bygone days of Toonami. If you’re a fan of Dragon Ball Z or Dragon Quest, 2018 is going to be your year, thanks to the following announcements.

Dragon Quest Coming to the Nintendo Switch

Square Enix has announced that Dragon Quest Builder will be coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2018. Toriyama’s charming character and monster designs will be plentiful in this Minecraft-mod-turned-sandbox-RPG. This aesthetically charming game should make a fantastic new addition to the Switch library. Plus, porting to the switch comes with an added bonus: Switch-exclusive game content (to be announced).

Dragonball Z FighterZ Open Beta Announced

If you missed your chance back in September, you can join the open beta for Dragonball FighterZ in the new year. From January 14 to January 16, all PS4 and Xbox One players will be able to participate in the game’s open beta. Those who pre-order the game will have a chance to join the beta earlier.
