Most Total War Shogun 2: Fall of the Samurai cheats available on various websites, work with the help of special trainers developed by fans of the game; and because of this, the following cheating guide reveals a Total War Shogun 2: Fall of the Samurai mega-trainer uploaded in July 2012, on DLH.net.
Using the trainer, players have access to multiple Total War Shogun 2: Fall of the Samurai cheat codes that can help them to finish the campaign mode faster.
The guide offers information on how to find a working trainer for Total War Shogun 2: Fall of the Samurai, how to install it, and how to use it in the game; however, players should be aware that as most free trainers, the program is compatible only with specific versions of the game, and cannot be used to cheat in Total War Shogun 2.
Released on March 23, 2012, Fall of the Samurai is a standalone expansion for Total War Shogun 2, which became available in 2011. As a standalone, Fall of the Samurai doesn’t require Total War Shogun 2, meaning that it can be purchased and played independently.
Even if the gameplay in Fall of the Samurai is similar to the one experienced in Total War Shogun 2, Creative Assembly added multiple new features to the expansion, including a campaign mode which reveals the decline of the Japanese Shogunate.
While the last Shogunate clans (Aizu, Nagaoka, Jozai) fight against the Imperial clans (Choshu, Satsuma, Tosa), Japan enters a new period, marked by industrialization and modernization.
The western powers such as America and France, play an important role in this war, which eventually leads to the total abolition of the Shogunate.
A similar story is presented in Edward Zwick’s drama film, The Last Samurai, starring Tom Cruise. Both, the movie and the video game, present a series of events known as The Meiji Restoration.
These events took place in 1868, and culminated with the restoration of the Imperial rule and with the disappearance of the Samurai.
Additional improvements added to this expansion, include 39 new land units, new playable clans, railways that can be used to move units faster, new maps, as well as new agent types, armor pieces, and a new skill tree.
Fall of the Samurai, just like Total War Shogun 2, received multiple positive scores from reviewers. Daniel Shannon from GameSpot mentions in his review, that Total War Shogun 2 is the “best Total War yet”; while on GameScope the title received a perfect score of 10 points out of 10.
