Halo 4 represents the latest installment in the Halo franchise, and it is probably one of the most anticipated games of 2012, being the first video game in the Reclaimer Trilogy. Continuing the tradition, Halo 4 is an Xbox 360 exclusive title; however, unlike other Halo video games, Halo 4 was entirely developed by 343 Industries, a development studio created by Microsoft. 1
In Halo 4, once again, players take the role of Master Chief John-117, the protagonist in the original Halo trilogy. Four years have passed since the events of Halo 3, where Master Chief and Cortana were lost in space, aboard what’s left of a ship known as Forward Unto Dawn.
Now, because of a disturbance on the ship, Cortana has to wake up John, thus beginning the actual game. This leads to the discovery of Requiem, an artificial planet built by the Forerunners. The planet is the place where the majority of the campaign takes place. Another important plot element is Cortana’s state, because most AIs deteriorate after seven years, and she has been into service for eight years. This means she will manifest “rampancy”, a mental state of AIs associated with insanity and death.
Throughout the game, players can find several collectibles known as Halo 4 Terminals. These are the only collectibles in the game, and they represent videos that explain the game’s story, and offer additional information to players. If players pay attention when finding a Halo 4 Terminal, they can see the message “DOMAIN VIDEO UNLOCKED ON WAYPOINT”, meaning that they have to use an Xbox Live connection to access a Halo Waypoint in order to watch the unlocked videos. Also, acquiring the first Halo 4 Terminal unlocks an achievement worth 10G points. Moreover, players who find all Halo 4 Terminals are rewarded with an achievement of 50G points.
The single-player campaign in Halo 4 spans over eight chapters, excluding the Prologue and the Epilogue, which are basically explanatory cinematic movies. However, players should start their search for Halo 4 Terminals in the second mission of the game, because the first one lacks the presence of these collectibles. Because of this and for the fact that there is only one Halo 4 Terminal hidden in each mission, means that there are only seven Halo 4 Terminals in the game. Therefore, our Halo 4 Terminals Locations Guide is divided in seven parts, one for each collectable.
The Halo 4 Terminals Locations Guide starts with the second mission, called Requiem, and ends with the eighth chapter in the game, named Midnight. For each part featured in our full Halo 4 Terminals Locations Guide, fans of the franchise can find tips and screenshots to locate every Terminal in Halo 4, faster.
